FSSC 22000 is a GFSI-recognized food safety management scheme that combines ISO 22000 with prerequisite program requirements and sector-specific technical specifications. It is used to demonstrate that food safety risks are controlled throughout processing and supply chains.

SGF operates the fruit-juice sector's Voluntary Control System across production and trade stages. In practice, it supports traceability, authenticity, and quality controls for juice and juice ingredients, helping reduce adulteration risk and strengthen buyer confidence.

The USDA Organic seal is reserved for products certified under the National Organic Program. For multi-ingredient goods sold as "organic," at least 95% of the ingredients must be certified organic, and the remaining ingredients must also comply with strict federal organic rules.

CERES is an international inspection and certification body active in organic food, food processing, agricultural practices, and sustainability schemes. Its mark indicates third-party certification through a globally operating body used in export-oriented organic and compliance programs.

Kosher certification verifies that ingredients, formulations, equipment, and production processes comply with Jewish dietary law. Ongoing approval typically includes review of raw materials, plant processes, and labelling, supported by periodic supervision and compliance checks.

The Canada Organic logo may only be used on products certified under the Canada Organic Regime. For most packaged products, use of the logo is voluntary but limited to goods with at least 95% organic content and certification from a recognized body.

Sedex is a responsible sourcing and supply-chain data platform, and the most common onsite assessment associated with it is the SMETA audit. Companies use it to document labour, health and safety, environment, and business ethics practices and share audit data with customers.

The EU organic logo is compulsory for most pre-packaged organic foods produced and sold in the EU. It can only appear on products certified by an authorised control body and containing at least 95% organic ingredients, together with the control-body code and origin statement.

Halal certification confirms that ingredients, handling, and production controls are assessed against Islamic requirements for halal food. Current international halal frameworks such as OIC/SMIIC standards emphasise ingredient traceability, contamination prevention, and formal conformity-assessment rules for certifiers.

For food exported to the United States, FDA registration applies to domestic and foreign facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or hold food for U.S. consumption unless exempt. It is a facility registration requirement, not a product certification or endorsement by FDA.

In Türkiye, organic products are controlled under Law No. 5262 and the Regulation on the Principles and Implementation of Organic Agriculture. The system covers production, processing, storage, labelling, and traceability through authorised control and certification bodies, with records maintained in OTBIS.
